The Basler Gate. (32 cm by 46 cm) Oil signed "Adolf Hitler" and dated "1933" of the late period. This painting depicts the Basler Gate and surrounding area. There is a period printed description and dedication a label on the back. The painting is in its original frame, shown from the back here. There is a full signature and date at the bottom right. Hitler very seldom worked in oils, preferring to use watercolor. There are very few existing examples of his oils, especially from this late period.
